I am originally from Berkeley, California (and will always be a California girl at heart), yet I have been blessed that my life path has allowed me to live, adventure and work outside the USA for the past 20 years.
I have been walking a conscious journey of personal healing and transformation for 30 years. In that time I have undergone extensive personal healing through shamanic traditions including journeywork, soul retrieval, sacred ceremony, vision quest and travel to various sacred spaces on this beautiful earth. I have worked with and learned from many different people, in many different healing modalities. I am honoured and blessed by them all.
My interest in movement, bodywork and healing has been lifelong. With a background in dance, I discovered the transformative power of Pilates Bodywork when regular studio classes alleviated chronic back pain after three successive pregnancies. Experiencing my physicality anew as an integration of body-mind-soul, I realised this work would be a lifelong endeavour for my ongoing health and spiritual growth. On moving to London in 2003, I began a deep study of Pilates Bodywork which involved intensive study with leaders in the method for over 5 years. I have also studied homebirth midwifery and worked with woman and families through pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum times. Inspired by the workings of the human body, I completed an intensive year of study in the Anatomy of Movement with a world-renowned leader in the field. This followed with studies of Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Hands-on-Healing/Reiki, Sound Therapy, Crystal Healing, Shadow Work, Somatic Trauma Counselling, Herbalism and Plant Medicines… I always strive to continue my learning.
My holistic approach builds upon a strong classical training. Using the innate wisdom, power and balance of the body, and focusing on breath to explore deep spaces within, establishes a strong mind-body-spirit connection and brings opportunity for incredible healing on all levels of our being. This opportunity to shift imbalances in body, mind and soul lead to ongoing holistic wellbeing. I am thrilled to work with clients of every age and ability, both near and far, discovering how each individual has a unique story to live, tell and heal itself.
As a teacher, mentor, guide, writer and speaker, my heartfelt work opens the opportunity to shift imbalances in body, mind and soul which lead to ongoing holistic wellbeing. I am thrilled to work with clients of every age and ability, discovering how each individual has a unique story to live, tell and heal itself. I have held space for people from single treatments to ongoing rehabilitation; through the transformation into motherhood; to intensive training weekends and year-long course delivery leading to formal qualification.
I live alternatively in an off-grid homestead in beautiful Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand which allows me to connect deeply with nature and her vast teachings on a daily basis. I also enjoy cooking, dog walking, travel, yoga, dance, tree-climbing and being the mother of three fine young-people. My life is a ceremonial practice of mindfulness. I am a student of life, always desiring to learn more.
